I loved the spaciousness of the 2 bedroom apartment and the separate bathroom. The hosts, Janet and Peter, were very experienced and gave me plenty of space to enjoy my stay. The view from the hotel was absolutely fantastic, with a beautiful outlook of the bay and the islands. The location in a lovely residential area on top of the hill provided a tranquil and peaceful atmosphere. Transportation was convenient, although it was necessary to take a car to get into the center of town.

Guests are treated to an excellent breakfast, with vegetarian options available. Conversations with hosts are a plus, as they offer great company and tips for traveling.
There is only a limited number of rooms available in this B&B, so it's important to book well in advance to secure a spot.

We spent our Christmas vacation at a cozy and immaculate B&B nestled atop a hill with a breathtaking view of the sea and bush. The rooms were lovely, quiet, and well-equipped with all the facilities we needed. We enjoyed a sumptuous hot breakfast personalized to our dietary preferences. What we enjoyed most was the helpful advice the hosts gave us on the best places to go to in the quiet part of the town.
While the location was great, it was a bit far from the town center and the beach, making it hard to move around without a car. The lack of signage in the wider Whakatane area made it slightly challenging for us to find the place even with the directions given.
